D’Angelo

Tribute to D’angelo

D’Angelo was around the year 2000 the promised next top entertainer. He inspired a whole generation with his Neo-Soul as a Solo artist and as part of the Soulquarians with artists like Erikah Badu and Questlove. He also worked with Lauren Hill and Angie Stone. His Album ‘Brown Sugar’ was a hit and with his next Album Voodoo he reached a “Superstar status”. Then it went quiet around D’Angelo for several years but his comeback was ‘a blast’ with the album Black Messiah. This album won the best R&B album at the 58th Grammy awards. His voice is unmatched, a combination of Prince, Sly and the family Stone and Donny Hathaway.

Last year we lost a great performer that inspired al lot of musicians.

This tribute will be a dedication in honor to one of the greatest funk and soul musicians of all time.
